Popplewell Composites is seeking a capable, professional and career-focused Livestock & Grazing Officer for our Sunshine Coast Hinterland operations.

We operate to very high standards of safety, livestock welfare and professionalism, with a strong focus on producing a great product and experience for our customers.

If you’re passionate about cattle and agriculture, take pride in doing things properly and want to build a long-term career in a progressive agricultural business, we’d like to hear from you. And it’s okay to be a bit of an ag nerd — we are too.

THE ROLE
• Low-stress cattle handling and husbandry
• Grazing and pasture management
• Fencing, water, property maintenance and development
• Livestock recording and data collection
• Agricultural technology and systems – training provided

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO
• Has practical cattle, fencing and grazing experience
• Shares our commitment to very high safety and livestock welfare standards
• Is passionate, motivated and career-focused
• Cares about producing a great product for the customer
• Takes pride in doing things properly and checking the details
• Is curious, interested in the technical side of agriculture and keen to learn
• Is reliable, organised and communicates well
• Takes ownership and follows jobs through
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Holds a current manual driver’s licence – essential

QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate II in Agriculture minimum or demonstrated prior learning. People with an agricultural diploma or degree are encouraged to apply.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
• Full-time position
• Sunshine Coast Hinterland, QLD
• Remuneration based on qualifications and experience
• Training and development provided
• A high degree of flexibility is required during seasonally busy livestock periods, including a weekend roster during some seasons
• Non-smoking and non-vaping workplace – applicants must be non-smokers/non-vapers
• No horses; company working dogs provided, with one approved personal working dog permitted after probation
